Although, the Galveston County Kennel Club does not hold their own training classes,
below are members that have training facilities or are trainers themselves.

Honorable and Famous Mrs. Adelene Pardo
Confirmation, Seminars, Clinics, and Basic Obedience

For over four decades, Adelene Pardo has trained and showed dogs, and taught hundreds of others her proven training and handling techniques. As a licensed all-breed professional handler she was legendary and highly respected. Mrs. Pardo has also earned AKC obedience titles and teaches basic obedience. Many of Mrs. Pardo's students’ accomplishments, in the show ring, attest to Mrs. Pardo's success as a teacher. Mrs. Pardo also has a book available "Loose Lead: The Life and Dog-Training Secrets of Texas Legend Adelene Pardo" for sale. Mrs. Pardo is available for both Group and Private Classes as well as Clinics and Seminars.

JoAnn Hoffpauir
Obedience and Rally

JoAnn has trained her dogs in competitive obedience and agility for the past 24 years. Since the start of Rally in 2005 JoAnn has been teaching Rally and also competining and titling in this new AKC venue. Through the years JoAnn and her dogs have participated in AKC, UKC , USDAA, ASCA, CPE, NADAC events and have earned over 80 titles. They have won many placements, Dog World Awards, and high in trials (HIT). JoAnn and her dogs have placed in the Pupperoni Agility, earned the Keeshond Club of American Obedience Hall of Fame award and has been invitied to the AKC Obedience Invitational. For five years one of her dogs was the top obedience Keeshonden in the country.

JoAnn instructs Competitive Obedience and Rally classes for both adult and puppies and a variety of breeds. For many years JoAnn worked with Keeshond rescues. Working with rescues allowed me to work with behavior problems, rehabilitate, train, and place 80 dogs into loving homes.

For Dogs Only Agility...Obedience...Rally Instruction

Melanie Lesko has been training with dogs for over 30 years. Melanie Lesko is the owner of For Dogs Only.
For Dogs Only is the realization of a dream, and Melanie's passion is to provide quality facilities and equipment for dog
sports and training in Galveston County and southeast Houston area. Set on 12 acres, For Dogs Only's facility (FDO Center) has a 40’x60’ building with dirt floor and ceiling fans, available for seminars and training. The facility also offers two lighted outdoor rings equipped for agility. Electronic timing is available for one ring. Currently they have a port-o-potty for a bathroom.
